VALUES. STRATEGY. BRAND

Your information is secure, private, and owned by you. It’s that simple.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which our company and company website collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a 'User') of the website ('Site'). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Gläshaus.

General Principles

We subscribe to the general principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) recently adopted in the European Union. The GDPR principles are some of the most progressive privacy rules in the world.

Overall, the principles state that Users are the owners of their information; that they have a right to know what data are being kept on them, and the right to request its deletion; that Users’ should be informed about the data they are giving and the purpose for which it will be used and processed, and that, in general, consent must be given before the data can be used. You can read more about the GDPR here.

Personal Identification Information

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, subscribe to the newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site, or by interacting with our staff in some other way. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, email address. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

Our customer relationship management (CRM) software is a cloud service that we use subject to the terms and conditions of that proprietary software. The CRM automatically logs emails sent to and from our company, so that we can keep good records. It also logs other metadata inherent in the communication, for example by extracting phone numbers and company information from an email signature. We use this information in order to keep track of our business communication, but we never share it with anyone outside our organisation.

Non-personal Identification Information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilised and other similar information.

Such information is automatically gathered by various pieces of code, known as ‘pixels’. When you navigate to our site, you may be simultaneously logged in to your Facebook account, for example. So, the Facebook Pixel on our site will register that you’ve visited glashaus.com.au. However, while Facebook’s algorithm knows this information, it is never shared with us or Facebook directly.

That’s why relevant advertising seems to follow you around the internet. If you want to avoid leaving this digital trail, ensure you are logged out of your Facebook account, your Google accounts (either through Gmail, YouTube, or Chrome), and browse in an ‘incognito’ window.

Web Browser Cookies

Our Site may use 'cookies' to enhance User experience. The User's web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. User may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, please note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.

  • To improve customer service

  • Information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently

How We Protect Your Information

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.

Our website is encrypted using SSL hosting. Our CRM is hosted in the cloud under enterprise-grade security.

Our team has access to our database so that we can deliver the best service possible. All our staff are thoroughly vetted for this purpose. We don’t provide this access for contractors.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users’ personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.

At all times, we comply with the data policies of our service providers, such as Facebook, Hubspot, and Google Drive. These providers set out stringent privacy guidelines that are prerequisite for using their services.

Third Party Websites

Users may find advertising or other content on our Site that links to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors, and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website's own terms and policies.

Gläshaus reserves the right to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page.
